I had a deadline for yesterday, so working on the project kept me busy last week and the whole weekend. I did not write so much here as well as not doing anything else. But the persons we were supposed to meet did not show up and today they said they will come to university tomorrow afternoon and I need to do a proofreading for my report which obviously I am not doing it. I do not want to make myself disappointed by being lazy and not writing here so I start blogging instead anything else. I will try to come up with some topics and then write about them here.

The Observation, Part2

The main story begins here, when Bessy decided to take her revenge. She loves the lady and could not stand she does not like her anymore. From missus’s note she understood there was a maid before her whom missus loved but she died . Her death was because of having an accident with a train. And that was kind of shocking, some people said she was drunk but missus said Lora was not drunk. So what made her not cautious about train? that was Bessy’s question. But she could not find anything related to Lora’s death anymore. The next night, she went to attic to search if she could find anything about her or not. While she was there, her missus came up to see what caused the voices. Bessy was shocked and did not want to say she caused the noises. So she said she also heard some voices so she came to search. After that discussion she found out the lady was scared of something, so she decided to make noises like this one. She even went further and wrote some notes on the windows for missus. At this point, missus’s husband became angry of her because he did not believe on ghosts but missus said Nora came back to their home and she needed their helps. But why she needed their helps? That was the secret, she was pregnant form on of missus’s friend. But she was embarrassed she did not want to make missus and her husband any problems so she chose suicide! And missus felt guilty about Nora’s life and death. She always thought they should help her and support her. After all this came up, Bessy understood that she made a big problem for missus, she stopped all the weird things. even she said to missus that she was the one how made all these things. But missus was not like before. She believed Nora was alive and needed their helps. She was not cautious anymore and lived in her world. Bessy had no option unless talk to her husband about the book and all things she made. Her husband tried to hide his wife’s illness from others and beside that tried to heal her. But all the remedies the doctor suggested could not help her and at last he moved her to an asylum. Bessy also left his farm, trying to find another job. While she was searching a job as a maid, she saw an add about helped wanted in a asylum and this asylum was exactly the same as where missus was there. Now she could work again and being beside the missus whom she truly loved. When she went to missus and talked to her, the lady told her “I was wrong and you are the best maid I have ever, You are better than Nora, and you always help me”. So Bessy was relived and happy. Now she has the lady for her.

The Observation

As I promised I am going to write about the book, The Observation, here. The story starts when Bessy , the first character of book, was walking in a road. She wanted to find a job and it did not matter for her what kind of a job. She had no experience in any kind of jobs, she just wanted to have a job so she could have a home and food.
As she walked in the road, she approached to a farm. She saw a women how tried to get pigs into her land but her tries were failed. Bessy came to her and tried to help her although she also has no experience about the animals. At last they catch the pig. The lady asked if she has any experience about animals, cows and pigs, and if she is looking for a job as a maid. She needed someone in her farm, someone could cook, clean and ect. Bessy answered she knows everything about farm animals and as she was a maid before she could do all the things. But after some examination the lady understood that she lied and she has never been in a farm before so she did not offer the job to her. Bessy said goodbye to her and left her farm. Again she was back in the road to a place she has no idea about it. But the lady changed her mind, she ran into her and said if she was able to write and read so she could write for the lady she could stay there and just do the inside works as a maid. So Bessy found the job she wanted and now she had a place to stay and the food she needed. But after sometimes her missus started to act abnormal but Bessy loved her so she did not think that kind of behavior is not usual. She also asked Bessy to write in a notebook every works she has done during the day at home every night and show her writing to her. She also touch Bessy some lessons about writing. Bessy has never someone like her, she was like her mother she does not have ever. All those weird things did not matter to her. Because she loved her missus. After some more weeks, her missus’s husband came to the farm so she did not have much time for Bessy. That made Bessy upset. She missed the lady so much. One day, her missus told her that her husband and she should go some place so they are not home for dinner and she could take a rest instead of cooking dinner. As they left their home, Bessy searched the missus room she found that the lady is writing a book about her maids and their behaviors and she called the book “the observation”. At this time she found out her missus knows all about her past. But what was in her past that made her upset? That is a long story, to make it short her mother sold her to men and took the money for herself and her boyfriends. She forced her daughter to give her body to men while she was less than 9 years old! And after sometimes a man, Mr.Levy, who was rich asked her mom to have Bessy and instead he was giving some money every weeks. But Mr.Levy did not want Bessy’s body, he just wanted to someone at home like a child , someone just talking. That was him who taught Bessy the alphabet, reading and writing. But poor Bessy as Mr.Levy died, his brother did not want her anymore. And everyone else also thought she was a bad girl. At that time, she has no place to go except her mom. She went to her, but after visiting her, Bessy remembered all those bad years. So she did not say about Mr.Levy and his death and after some hours she left her mom without saying anything to her, she just said she will come to her mom in the bar. All these weeks, she tried her best not to tell missus all about those years and now she read her missus’s issue about her. How she called her a bad maid whose works are not good enough and so on. All these things made her angry. She wanted to take a revenge from her.

Now, is it fall or spring?

It does not look like a spring at all. All days are cloudy and windy, the temperature is between -8 to +5. I feel like it is fall and it makes me thinking about having winter again and this makes me sick. I need a break from that cold winter. I want to have sunny days and walking outside and sitting outside of coffee shop to chat with my friends. Then, I remember: “No, it is spring and after some more days we will have sun again and it will be warm”.

Today, I woke up early and checked my email. On of prof. from our group sent us an email to say there is no meeting for group today. So I decided not to go to university. I should confess I have a little stress maybe my teacher comes to my office and does not find me but on the other hand I am exhausted so I stayed home and relaxed until now. I should start to work on my project soon.

I finished the book Observation. It was a sad story, even now while I am thinking about the girls and their missus I feel a great sadness in my heart. I am starting to read “Eat, Pray, Love”.

April 1st

The first of April or 13 bedar for Persians is tomorrow. I have promised to myself to make some resolutions for this year, 1387. To do my promise and also have something for 13 bedar, I want to write all my hopes and desires for this year here.

The first thing I want to do is to work harder and more efficient on my master project so it will be finished by end of May. The second one is I want to be more kind with myself, I want to have more self confident. These two are the most important things that I need. The other things I am going to work on them as well is:

To have some exercise everyday. I registered twice for gym and then I stopped going to gym so I just wasted my money. This time I go for walking or running outside my home and for sure do not stop it. Now the weather is good and days are longer, I know I could do it.

Living lonely made me so careless about my food. Most of the times I have no appetite at all so I do not eat anything. But from now on, I will cook and force myself to eat something healthy.

Reading books, when I was younger I read regularly but now most of them time I waste my time on internet without reading for learning something useful. I try to read more books instead of going to random blogs and read just the blogs which I like them.

Writing, this one is my biggest wish from my childhood. Even now I could not forget it although I have not much hope for it but I want to write more often at least in my blogs (my Persian blog and this one).

Finding new friends, I am not good in social life. I should improve myself in this one. I want to have more friends and specially close friends. This one does not seem easy for me. I should find out some ways to figure out how can I meet more people and make more friends.

I guess I have more hopes and wished but all these are too much, I should stop here. OH NO, the other things which I should do this year is to improve my English and French knowledge. If I do all them, I guess I would say that my life is really on progress and that’s the thing everyone needs.

back in Edmonton

Last week, I had a great time. Being at our home with Farzan and visiting my friends gave me so much energy and made me fresh. Now I am back in Edmonton, with lots of works which I should finish before the end of May. Hopefully I will do all them and finish my studying as soon as possible. I am not sure after finishing this damn what I am going to do. I prefer to find a good job but I need to know French language to have a job at Montreal. But I am not good at French. The first thing I am going to do is attending to some French courses then applying for some jobs.

What I am doing right now, I found out my codes does not work correctly so I need to find its problem:( which seems not easy.

Now the nagging part: here is so cold, like -12 C and it is not like spring at all. My roommate left home for Vegas, she will be back on Wednesday morning and until that time I am alone at home:(. She also told me she will leave this city before end of April so at May I am all alone by myself. I wish my landlady find another good roommate for me:( I hate being alone.

Nowrouz, Iranian new year

I would love to write Baharieh, something about spring, but I could not think about something good enough for it. I always love spring, its blue sky, the blossoms on the tress, the rainy day and everything about this season. This new year, for the first time in whole my life, I am far form my family and also without sabez and haft sin. I did not make them because I will go to my home the second day. I know that is not a good excuse for being lazy. But we will have our haft sin at our home. I changed my background to a nice picture of haft sin and it does make me happy. I will do my best to write some baharie when I am on way back home.
